The Battle for Qinling added to the Gallery
With v0.7 of PR coming out very soon, Qinling is now in its final stages of testing an will be released as part of Project Reality v0.7 in the next few weeks.

As for that, I have added the map to the site's gallery so you can get a little more hyped up for v0.7

Muttrah City (v2) Update
Two months have passed since my last update but in that time Muttrah has grown quite abit

I have been mainly working on the city layout and the terrain work. Most of the city has been redone and the terrain is almost complete, thou still not yet final. Now I am really onto the detail work, adding in all the little bits that will bring the city together

Here are some nice pics from the editor of my progress so far. Please note that I have forced the editor into a 2km view distance and this will not be the view distance ingame in the final version, doing this almost killed my PC

Muttrah City v2 Update - The Mosque
It's been a few weeks since my last update on any of my projects but over the past week or more I and some other PR Devs have been working hard on Muttrah to bring you this update.

II have recently been working on learning how to make some basic statics, which some you may be able to spot in this update if you look very closely.
I have also been doing lots of work on the dock and the city area of the map, adding more statics and detail though still lots and lots of work to do.

Although getting to the point the main thing we would like to show off is the almost finished Muttrah Mosque static which will play a very key part in the map, as it did in the first version of Muttrah.
Created by [R-DEV]Stigger & [R-DEV]matt.b, the mosque is very detailed as well as having lots of neat features to go with it which we are not going to give away just yet

Also I would like to thank OPK for their crane static used in the port area of the map in the last two screenshots


There is lots more I could show you but we will leave that for another update later on and we hope you enjoy this update. 


UPDATE: I have crated a very quick new wallpaper for any one who wants to use it, its a 1280x1024 but can be scaled down for lower rezes

The Battle for Qinling, New Map Announced!
I have been saying for some time now I have been working on a few "secret" projects for v0.7, well here is one of them 

The map is called "The Battle for Qinling" and is set on the Qinling Mountain Range in China!
The map is as big as they get, 4km x 4km (1024x4, which is a 17km² area) and will focus on true combined arms with the British Armed Forces Vs. the Peoples Liberation Army! The map will have all the new British weapons in the map, from the Challenger II MBT to the Apache Long Bow and the Euro Fighter Typhoon!

The map is pretty much woodland but also will have lots of open areas, afew villages and lots of high places to shoot from, with quite a few static objects placed here and there through out the map. There is also afew big lakes in the map, with one of the lakes being around abouts the size of one of my perviouse maps, Operation Ghost Train just so you can get an idea on the scale we are talking

I also have reciently won the L3DT Image of the Month compertion with one of my screenshots of Qinling, Check out the L3DT site for more info, you can see my image on the main page, on the rigth hand side. 



The map is still WIP but its all pretty much laied out, and just needs some work here and there

Muttrah City v2 Update
Over a month now since the last update and I have been mainly been working on bug fixing for v0.6's release. But now with most of the map bugs out of the way I have been able to put a bit more work into muttrah 

[R-DEV]matt.b has been hard at work making a bunch of new Middle-East city building statics for this map, and other upcoming maps and they are looking really nice! They are using the vBF2 textures so that the blend in with the old statics so see if you can spot them in the screenshots below when you take a look, there are around 5 new types of buildings so far 

As well as working a little bit on the city layout, I have also done some work on the terrain and done some quick tests with some colour textures on the map to get a feel of how about's its going to look when its final. Just a reminder the map is still very much WIP (Work In Progress) so the map is most likely to change a lot between now and the final release.





Hope you like the new pics, v0.6 will be out soon so make sure you download it, I have been doing lots of work on basrah, kashan and other maps to improve them and well worth a try!
